masthead font

Image
Making these fonts of the word 'Masthead' was done in photoshop on a piece of international paper. Firstly, I selected the text tool and typed the word masthead then I duplicated the layer so that there were 7 copies of this layers. On each of the layers, I would highlight the text and go on the font icon on the top banner, after this a list of numerous different fonts appeared and on each of the texts I applied a different font and also I would be able to warp the text to the way I wanted by highlighting the layer and going to type on the top banner and then going to wrap text then on the layer selected the option to edit the text in anyway appeared. My favourite font style was the chiller one because it looks like a smudged/splattered piece of paint and with the warped text it looks so much better.

KERRANG!

Image
The background colour is like a smoke grey colour, with the main cover image being Marilyn Manson who is a famous rockstar, holding a deer's head with the antlers being either side of the masthead which is 'KERRANG!' in big creamy with red stains bubble writing with a red border round being covered in multi-coloured non-lit lights, being partially blocked by Marilyn's head but not to the point where you can't see the masthead. Under the main cover image of Marilyn Manson is his name in block capitals in white so it can stand out against the background for people to be able to read but the letter I has been edited to form some sort of logo linked with Marilyn Manson. Below his name is a selling line that says "in bed with the antichrismas superstar'. In bold, white writing that stands out against the dark background. The term 'superstar' is an adjective for Marilyn Manson and the phrase 'in bed with' suggests that you will know a fair...

Masthead affects

Image
Making these effects of the word 'Masthead' was done in photoshop on a piece of international paper. Firstly, I selected the text tool and typed the word masthead then I duplicated the layer so that there were 10 copies of this layers. On each of the layers, I would press on the actual layer and wait for the affects pop up to show, on this table it shown numerous different effects I can add and an option to be able to edit that affect. I used 10 different affects on 10 different layers of masthead and then after I did this I used my favourite affect which was stroke, because I had many ways to be able to edit this affect and I really enjoyed doing this, on another 10 layers of masthead but instead I just used the stroke affect but used different edits on each layer because it stood out too me and looked very intriguing to my perspective.
