text wrap

Image
These are my two text wrap images and shapes. I created these on Adobe InDesign by creating 2 different documents of A4 and then I went on Google and searched Lorum Ipsum, which acts as fake text so I copied and pasted the text from there onto my page and then I would insert multiple images and select each one then go to window, text wrap and select a different text wrap to a different image to make the text go round the box, the actual image, to bring the image in front or behind the text, I had to do this on 2 separate pages so that I could fit each image on to the document. I really enjoyed creating these text wraps because it shows that I am able to manipulate text based on an image and this could prove very helpful when it comes to making my magazine.

magazine covers

These are my front page examples one with no actual title and headline and one with a title and headline. I made these on the adobe InDesign platform by setting a document up  with 4 columns of 5mm space between them. On my first example, I drew text boxes across the top of the cover one for the headline and one for the sub heading and actually typed in headline and sub heading into the text box and then I added an image into the middle of the page just below the sub heading and then filled the columns with lorum ipsum and used text wrap so the text went around the image. On the second example I went through the same process but added the actual title and subheading on the cover and added 2 images on it and then put text wrap around them so that the lorum ipsum text would wrap around the images.

magazine thumbnail

Image
This is my thumbnail of the weekend magazine of the guardian. I firstly opened the adobe InDesign software and set it out as an A4 document with 3, 5mm columns going down the canvas. Then based on the print version of this magazine I designed a digital thumbnail of it. Firstly, I made the background of the magazine cover to be red and then added a black circle shape in the top left hand corner and cut off the top of the circle off and added a text box inside the shape, below this I added more text boxes on the cover to add the features on the actual print magazine to the digital one I have created. I really enjoyed creating this thumbnail because it allowed me to put a print magazine as a thumbnail of my own creation on the computer.

Newspaper

Image
These are two newspapers I have created on Adobe InDesign, the first one being an example or a trial one where I was just getting used to the software and creating a newspaper and the second one being an actual example of a newspaper that I have created. On the example one, firstly I set out the page to an A4 page with 4 columns and made sure to tick the box that said facing pages on it. Then, I just found a random image that has already been saved to my computer then imported it onto the page. After this, I inserted two text boxes one for the headline right across the top and one for the subheading just below the heading. I then added 4 more text boxes that fill the rest of the text boxes from the top of each column to the bottom and then I went on Google and searched in Lorem Ipsum and copy and pasted the text from there onto the page to act as 'dummy' text, if there was too much text to fill the box I would press the red box at the bottom of the text box and that allowe
